“A restorative trip away from the craziness of the city...”
Annika and Jorge were absolutely wonderful hosts and the casita was by far the most charming AirBnB I have ever encountered. The location was fantastic - a short drive from Fulford Harbour and a quick walk or drive to Ganges, where you can find absolutely anything that you would need for a stay here. The bed was quite comfortable and the bedroom itself was cozy and perfect for a quiet, restorative trip away from the craziness of the city. The camp kitchen was well equipped and there were farm fresh eggs waiting in the fridge upon my arrival. Jorge delivered milk and apples from the farm itself on my first evening and explained a bit about the property, including the walking trail that runs behind it into Ganges. The hosts checked in after my first night to ensure that I had a restful sleep and that I was comfortable. I have already recommended this property to others and hope to return myself someday.

“Very peaceful, serene & close to amenities”
I loved staying at Salty Pear. It was the perfect mix of comfort and adventure. I've done tonnes of camping in the past, but didn't want to deal with the hassles and extra work of packing and setting up camp. This was perfect. It was clean, cozy, comfortable and romantic. The outdoor tub was amazing during the storm. The bathroom is brand new and still smells of fresh cedar. The kitchen was perfect and easy to utilize. The location is perfectly quaint, quiet and had a rural feel; but so close to Ganges. I would definitely stay here again, perhaps for longer, when I need to get away and get a bunch of school work done. Very peaceful, serene close to amenities. Did I mention how much fun the outdoor tub and shower is!!!

“We loved this darling Casita!”
Located on a beautiful rolling piece of land close to centre of Ganges. It was cosy warm with everything we needed. There are sheep to great you as you walk up the path, and apple trees for a fresh treat. We enjoyed eggs, granola, and coffee for breakfast in the lovely kitchen. The bathroom is very modern and ultra clean, with an outdoor shower and tub. The hosts are kind, attentive and their love and passion for providing guests with a great experience is evident in all the details!

“Nothing short of amazing!”
Our stay at Annika's Casita was nothing short of amazing! The little home was perfect for us - it was cozy and simple but had everything we needed. The surrounding countryside was quiet and peaceful, and just a few steps out the front door we could pick fresh blackberries and apples. The Casita was also just a short walk to the main part of town. We loved our stay!

“the trailer was so cool and funky, and immaculate.”
Annika was a perfect host, the trailer was so cool and funky, and immaculate, and she really went the extra mile to make sure we were comfortable and taken care of. I'd highly recommend her and her place to anyone visiting the island. Also, her property is incredible. Positive reviews across the board.

“If you're looking for an authentic Saltspring experience, this is it”
If you're looking for an authentic Saltspring experience, this is it. A private location with fruit trees and a giant Maple is the highlight of this property; beautifully modest with a cedar forest trail leading to Ganges town centre. The attention to detail was evident with the small necessities and fun decor. The retro trailer was clean and warm with a VERY comfortable queen bed. Thank you for your hospitality Jorge and Annika!

“Lovely spot to relax and unwind in nature!”
Lovely spot to relax and unwind in nature! Still, it was walking distance to Ganges (the famous market, groceries, gas, and tourist info centre), so the best of both worlds! The caravan was delightful. Cosy, meticulously clean, and full of fun retro accents. The bed was comfortable and accommodated my 6' tall husband. Hosts Annika, Jorge, and family were great. Checked in on us a few times while still totally respecting our privacy. Really nice people. The fresh eggs, milk, and peaches were a great touch since we arrived in an evening ferry and didn't have time to get groceries. We loved sitting outside with the crickets and the smells of late summer - sweet grass and pines, glass of wine in hand. Thank you, we had a great time!

We received this beautiful card with hand-drawn cover of our trailer (banner image) and it just melted our hearts. This is the reason we do what we do here at Salty Pear! Thank you for staying with us Mara & Zac!
